BiYu Promotions announced the continuation of its monthly professional boxing series, BiYu Brawl 8, which will take place at BiYu Arena, Houston, on Friday, September 25. The event will be broadcast live worldwide via the CombatVisionTV platform, marking the promoter's commitment to delivering quality fights regularly in the city.
The night's main event will pit Roy Knight (4-1, 3 KO) against Phillip Rhome Jr. (6-0-1, 1 KO) in a six-round bout for the currently vacant Super Middleweight Regional American Boxing Organization title. Knight is aiming to hand Rhome Jr. his first defeat, while Rhome has the chance to preserve his unbeaten record and claim his first regional championship belt.
In the co-main event, Jordy Suarez Gonzalez (4-0, 3 KO) will face Aiden Anderson (4-2, 3 KO) in a six-round super lightweight fight. Both young boxers are seen as having a strong opportunity to showcase their skills on a bigger stage, in line with BiYu Brawl's consistent mission of giving developing professionals a chance to advance their careers.
BiYu Promotions President Bobby Harrison stressed that the series' main goal is to present professional boxing consistently in Houston. According to him, the city has a strong boxing community with many talented fighters, so a platform is needed to keep them active, develop their skills, and fight in front of their own fans. He is committed to building a monthly series that the city's residents can continue to support.
"This is another strong card from top to bottom. Roy Knight and Phillip Rhome Jr. are fighting for a regional title in the main event, and Jordy Suarez Gonzalez and Aiden Anderson have a big opportunity in the co-main event. This is the kind of competitive fight we want to keep bringing to BiYu Arena, and of course all the action will be broadcast live on CombatVisionTV," said Harrison.
The undercard also features a number of intriguing fights. Zachary Spiller (5-1, 4 KO) will take on Brandon Guillory (1-1, 1 KO) in a four-round heavyweight bout. Levar Adams Jr. (1-0, 1 KO) will face Diego Omar Acosta, who will make his professional debut in a four-round super bantamweight fight. Meanwhile, John Luis Lara (0-1) will meet Treverrious Zeno (1-0) in a four-round welterweight bout.
From the perspective of boxing fans in Indonesia, events like BiYu Brawl 8 show how local promoters in the United States build an ecosystem of regular fights for young boxers. This monthly series model could serve as a lesson for national boxing organizers in creating a sustainable stage for young Indonesian athletes, so they can sharpen their skills and improve their rankings without always depending on major events that are rarely held.
With tickets already on sale online, BiYu Brawl 8 is expected to draw the attention of Houston boxing fans and international audiences once again. The question is, will Rhome Jr. preserve his unbeaten record and claim the championship belt, or will Knight pull off the win? The answer will be revealed on September 25.
