- Harry Kane menjadi pemain kedua mantan penggawa Tottenham yang memenangkan Ballon d'Or setelah Luka Modric.
- Penampilan gemilang Kane bersama Bayern Munich dan Timnas Inggris membuatnya layak meraih trofi bergengsi tersebut.
- Tottenham disebut sedang mempersiapkan Luca Williams-Barnett sebagai calon bintang masa depan yang berpotensi mengikuti jejak Kane.

Harry Kane has finally won the 2025 Ballon d'Or, three years after leaving Tottenham Hotspur. The Bayern Munich striker becomes the second player from the Spurs academy to win the most prestigious individual award in world football, following Luka Modric in 2018.
Kane beat Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal in the vote. The win stems from his outstanding performances for Bayern Munich and the England national team. With Die Roten, he scored 61 goals and created 27 big chances in 51 matches across all competitions, finishing as Europe's top scorer. At international level, the England captain led his country to the semifinals of the 2025 World Cup with six goals and one assist in seven matches.
In his acceptance speech, Kane specifically thanked Tottenham for their role in his career development. He came through the Spurs academy and was loaned out to Norwich City, Leicester City, Millwall, and Leyton Orient before eventually becoming the first-choice striker for nine seasons in the Premier League. Kane ended his Spurs career as the all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 matches.
Even as Tottenham celebrate Kane's success, the north London club is reported to have lined up their next Ballon d'Or candidate from their academy. His name is Luca Williams-Barnett, an 18-year-old forward who has impressed with the Spurs youth teams and the England youth national teams.
Williams-Barnett scored eight goals in 20 appearances for England U17, U18, and U19. At the 2025 U17 World Cup, he scored two goals and created three big chances in four matches. With the Tottenham academy, he has averaged 1.22 goal contributions per match, with a total of 61 goals and assists in 50 matches for the U18, U19, and U21 sides. That figure nearly matches Kane's ratio for Bayern this season (1.32 goal contributions per match).
If Williams-Barnett can translate his fine form to the senior level, it is not impossible that he follows in Kane's footsteps as a world star. Tottenham also stand a strong chance of having the next Ballon d'Or contender. However, the road is still long and consistency will be key.
Kane has proven that hard work and dedication can yield the best results. Now, the challenge for Tottenham is to ensure Williams-Barnett gets the right path to develop. Will he become Kane's rightful successor at White Hart Lane?
