Avengers: Endgame Encore Leaks, Three New Scenes Reveal the Road to Doomsday

The premiere of Avengers: Endgame Encore in several cinemas worldwide has leaked three additional scenes that serve as a bridge to Avengers: Doomsday. Illegal recordings from the big screen began circulating on September 23, two days before the extended version's official launch date on September 25. This leak has sparked major discussion among Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans and could disrupt Disney's marketing strategy ahead of Doomsday's release on December 18.

Encore adds about four minutes of new material compared with the original version released in 2019. The three scenes are not merely bonus content; they are designed to introduce the multiversal conflict that will be at the core of Doomsday. The first scene changes the iconic ending in which Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) dance in their home. Now, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) appears at the door, hinting that Captain America will return in prime condition, not as an old man. The second scene appears mid-credits, set at TVA headquarters. Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) discovers that thousands of universes are being destroyed by the Incursion event, in which two realities collide. Meanwhile, the post-credits scene shows Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) imprisoned in an underground facility to contain his alter ego, the Hulk, while continuing gamma energy experiments. An unexpected guest, Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.), appears without being seen on screen, speaking one line that is difficult to make out in the leaked recording. Banner then disappears, and the symbol of Latveria is carved into the floor of the room.

For hardcore MCU fans, the Hulk's appearance in Doomsday is welcome news after many members of the original Avengers lineup have retired. The Incursion pattern introduced follows the storyline of the comic Time Runs Out, in which one universe must destroy another so that both do not perish.
