"It sounds like the bougiest problem, but it was terrifying," he said.

Joe, who was fully dressed at the time and had his phone in his pocket, immediately tried to move away from the rocking boat. He chose not to swim to the yacht's ladder because he was worried about the rear engine, and tried to climb onto the transfer boat. Only an hour later, once he was sitting safely at the restaurant, Joe felt the psychological impact of the incident. "I just realized how serious the situation was. I told Tati, 'That was really terrifying. I'm really shaken,'" he recalled. He immediately wanted to contact his two daughters, Willa (6) and Delphine (4), because he felt the need to see their faces. "I just wanted to call them. I needed to see them. Because I realized, it could have happened to anyone. It could have been very bad. This is the best outcome of a bad situation," he added.
