Al Hamra Hehanussa's dramatic 89th-minute goal forced Persebaya Surabaya to a 1-1 draw against Garudayaksa FC in the continuation of the BRI Super League 2026/2027 at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, Saturday (19/9/2026). The 27-year-old defender's action determined the final result and saved the visiting team from defeat.
Garudayaksa FC had fallen behind after the hosts scored in the 85th minute. However, just four minutes later, Al Hamra emerged as the savior with a strike originating from a set-piece situation. Thanks to his contribution, the player on loan from Persib Bandung was named Player of the Match.
In a post-match interview, Al Hamra admitted he was happy to help the team secure a point at the opponent's notoriously difficult home ground. "I am very happy because this was a tough match. Finally, we managed to steal a point here," he said.
The former Persija Jakarta player also revealed that the goal was not without luck. "Honestly, I didn't expect it. I just ran to the far post, the ball came towards me, and then I kicked it," he explained.
"We believe in each other, with teammates and staff. Our hard work paid off," said Al Hamra Hehanussa.
Teamwork and confidence were key for Garudayaksa FC to withstand Persebaya's onslaught in front of their home supporters. Coach Milos Joksic emphasized the importance of solidarity to face a team of Bajul Ijo's caliber.
With the addition of one point, Garudayaksa FC remains stuck in 13th position with two points from three matches. Previously, they drew 1-1 against Java United FC at Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, then lost 0-2 to Persik Kediri at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong.
