Evandra Florasta and Ruben Asoka Called Up to U-20 National Team, Bhayangkara FC Proud

Two young talents from Bhayangkara FC, Evandra Florasta and Ruben Asoka, have officially received a call-up to the Indonesia U-20 national team for a training camp and a friendly match against the China U-20 national team in Xianghe, China. The call-up signals that coach Nova Arianto continues to sharpen the squad ahead of the final round of the 2027 U-20 Asian Cup, which will be held in China from 24 March to 10 April 2027.

The confirmation was welcomed positively by the Bhayangkara FC management. The Lampung-based club expressed its pride that two of its players have been trusted to strengthen Garuda Muda. "Both are included in the friendly match versus the China U-20 national team," Bhayangkara FC wrote in its official statement. The friendly is part of the preparations for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027.

Evandra Florasta, an 18-year-old midfielder born in Malang, is no stranger at the international level. He previously played for the Indonesia U-17 national team and has now become one of the main playmakers in the U-20 squad. Meanwhile, Ruben Asoka, 19, is also a midfielder and has played for the U-16 national team. Both are considered long-term assets for Indonesian football.

PSSI is indeed stepping up the U-20 national team's preparations with a series of international friendlies. Beyond measuring strength, the match in China will serve as a means for the young players to adapt to the pressure and playing style of East Asian teams. Nova Arianto is expected to craft the best composition before the prestigious tournament begins.

For Bhayangkara FC, contributing players to the national team is proof of the quality of their academy. The club, which currently plays in Liga 2, hopes Evandra and Ruben can use this opportunity to develop and bring honor to Indonesia. The presence of these two young midfielders adds options in the Indonesia U-20 midfield.
