Persib Bandung showed absolute dominance as they hosted Isenmulang in week eight of the BRI Super League 2026/2027 at Stadion Si Jalak Harupat, Soreang, Kabupaten Bandung, on Sunday (1/11/2026). Maung Bandung closed the match with a resounding 4-0 win, using the momentum to pull away from the pressure of their closest rivals.
The win felt special because Persib had been hit by fatigue due to a packed schedule. Even so, the coach's charges managed to play efficiently. Mariano Peralta opened the scoring in the 14th minute, before Luka Menalo added two quick goals in the 35th and 43rd minutes. Marc Klok completed the goal fest in the 86th minute, securing three points without reply.
Elsewhere, PSIM Yogyakarta finally claimed their first win of the season after defeating Borneo FC 2-1. Laskar Mataram had fallen behind first through Asgal Habib's goal in the 33rd minute. However, their never-say-die spirit paid off: Adrian Purzycki equalized in the 57th minute, and Savio Sheva scored the decisive goal in the 64th minute.
For Persib, this result extends their positive run at home. The win over Isenmulang also proved that the Maung Bandung squad can cope with physical fatigue caused by minimal rotation. Previously, in week seven, Persib also secured a narrow 2-1 win over Garudayaksa FC at Stadion Pakansari, Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor.
Meanwhile, PSIM Yogyakarta should be grateful for this first three-point haul. Since the start of the season, Laskar Mataram have often struggled to hold on to a lead or turn things around. Asgal Habib's goal briefly silenced the home fans, but the fighting spirit of the PSIM side proved capable of turning the situation around. This win not only relieved the coaching staff but also gave loyal supporters new hope of rising from their slump.
With this result, Persib are increasingly solid at the top of the table, while PSIM are trying to climb out of the lower zone. The BRI Super League 2026/2027 still has a long way to go, and consistency will be key. Can Persib maintain their impressive form, and will PSIM make this win a turning point? Indonesian football fans await the answers in the weeks to come.
