- Persita Tangerang menutup pekan ketujuh BRI Super League 2026/2027 tanpa kekalahan berkat raihan tiga kemenangan dan tiga imbang.
- Racikan taktis Carlos Pena serta kontribusi pemain anyar menjadi kunci konsistensi Pendekar Cisadane musim ini.
- Target finis delapan besar kian terbuka, tetapi jadwal padat menuntut skuad menjaga intensitas di kandang maupun tandang.

Persita Tangerang have made an impressive mark in the seventh week of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League: they have not lost a single match. From six matches played, the Cisadane Warriors have collected three wins and three draws, amassing 12 points, and sit in sixth place in the provisional standings.
The run of positive results began with a 1-1 draw against PSIM Yogyakarta, followed by a 3-2 win over Java United FC, a 2-2 draw with PSM Makassar, a 2-1 win over promoted side Garudayaksa FC, a 3-2 victory over Persija Jakarta, and most recently a 1-1 draw with Bali United. This consistency signals that Persita are not merely a mid-table team that happens to be lucky.
The management this season has set a target of finishing in the top eight, or two places better than last season's 10th-place finish. If the unbeaten trend continues, that target is not impossible to achieve, and there is even a chance of surpassing it. However, the competition is still long and every week brings a different challenge.
Carlos Pena's touch is the main focus behind this fine performance. The Spanish coach has managed to convince the players to deliver their best through a clear philosophy and strategy. He is also flexible in choosing formations, from 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, to 4-4-2, adjusted to the opponent's characteristics and the team's needs.
The decision to recruit a number of new players such as Sutanto Tan, Luquinhas, Dion Markx, Wahyudi Hamisi, Alexandre Ramalingom, Pablo Ganet, Tyronne del Pino, and Javlon Guseynov has proven to contribute more. Squad depth in all lines gives Pena many options to craft the right starting eleven.
"If Persita play at one hundred percent, we will be a very difficult team to beat," said Carlos Pena.
Nevertheless, Pena is not resting on his laurels. He keeps reminding his charges that no match is easy. Dion Markx and company are required to always be 100 percent ready whenever and wherever they play. Pena also does not hesitate to correct individual mistakes so they are not repeated in the next match.
"This team must keep developing and every week must be better," he said, stressing the importance of continuous evaluation.
Supporter backing is also an important factor. The presence of loyal fans at home gives Persita extra energy. However, the real challenge comes from away matches, where the team's consistency and mentality are tested.
Throughout their history, Persita have never tasted the Indonesian top-flight title. Their best achievement is only as runners-up in the 2002 Liga Indonesia. If they can maintain their performance, this season could become a historic one for the team beloved by the people of Tangerang.
The question is, can Persita keep their unbeaten record until the halfway point of the season, or will the surprise come from the top teams that are starting to find their rhythm?
