- Bayern Munich dan RB Leipzig memimpin produktivitas, sementara Patrik Schick memuncaki daftar top skor dengan lima gol.

The first five weeks of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season produced 172 goals, breaking the old record of 170 goals that had stood since the 1984/85 season. This mark confirms the Bundesliga's position as the most productive league among Europe's top five, with an average of 3.82 goals per match from the 45 games played so far.
That figure leaves rival competitions far behind. La Liga, in second place, has averaged only 3.04 goals per match from 69 games through 12 October. The Bundesliga also stands as the league with the highest goals average this season, surpassing the 1983/84 campaign, which recorded an overall average of 3.58 goals per match.
The fifth week alone contributed 35 goals, with standout results such as RB Leipzig's 6-0 rout of Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen's dramatic 4-3 win over Mainz. The consistency of this goal surge points to a shift in playing style in Germany, where teams prioritize attack and high intensity over tight defending.
At the individual level, Patrik Schick of Bayer Leverkusen leads the scoring charts with five goals from five matches. He is followed by names such as Michael Olise, Christopher Nkunku, and Niclas Fรผllkrug, who are just one goal behind. Notably, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig dominate team productivity with 16 and 15 goals respectively, while Leverkusen and Freiburg have collected 14 goals.
"This record shows the quality of attack and entertainment the Bundesliga offers. We are seeing teams increasingly willing to take risks and score more goals," said a Bundesliga analyst, as quoted from the league's official report.
For football fans in Indonesia, this phenomenon could serve as a mirror for how the domestic league needs to boost its appeal. Liga 1 Indonesia is often criticized for low goal productivity and monotonous play. If the Bundesliga can average nearly four goals per match, it is not impossible for Liga 1 to adopt a similar approach by encouraging teams to play more offensively and improving the quality of finishing.
With the current trend, the 2026/27 season has the potential to be the most productive in Bundesliga history. If the first five weeks are any indicator, European football fans will be treated to more drama and goals in the months ahead. Will this record hold until the end of the season, or will it instead spur other leagues to close the gap?
