- I Made Andhika Wijaya memanfaatkan libur lima hari kompetisi untuk berlatih bersama ayahnya, legenda sepak bola Bali I Made Pasek Wijaya, di Pantai Sanur.
- Latihan mandiri itu merupakan instruksi pelatih Oscar Bruzon, dengan pemain diwajibkan mengirim video sebagai bukti.
- Andhika bertekad merebut kembali performa terbaiknya bersama Bhayangkara FC setelah 10 tahun membela Bali United.

The international break of nearly three weeks was not entirely a time to relax for Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC defender I Made Andhika Wijaya. He chose instead to keep sharpening his fitness in his hometown of Bali, accompanied by his father, I Made Pasek Wijaya, in the Sanur Beach area.
The moment came after Bhayangkara FC beat Isenmulang Kalteng FC 2-0 in the third week of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League. The management gave the players a five-day break, but coach Oscar Bruzon still assigned a mandatory independent training program. Andhika made use of the Sanur shoreline as a place to maintain his fitness.
According to Andhika, physical training during the break is not merely a suggestion. Every player is asked to record a video as proof of having carried out the program. "A physical training load like this is mandatory. We also have to make a video as proof of training for the Bhayangkara FC coach," he said on Thursday (24/9/2026).
The presence of his father in the training sessions added its own color. I Made Pasek Wijaya is a Balinese football legend who once played for the Indonesia national team and won a bronze medal at the 1989 SEA Games. For Andhika, his father is not only a companion but also a source of knowledge and motivation to maintain his standard of play.
This competition break is also a moment of reflection for Andhika on his career journey. After ten years in a Bali United shirt, he decided to move to Bhayangkara FC. His last two seasons at Bali United did not go smoothly; he spent more time on the bench, even though he had previously been the first choice at right back.
The move to Bhayangkara FC was not easy at first. On loan, the 30-year-old had to adapt to a new environment. However, playing time gradually restored his match rhythm. "Now I am at Bhayangkara FC so I can get more playing opportunities. I want to bring my performance back to how it was at the start of my career," he said.
Competition in the right-back sector is a challenge of its own. Andhika must compete with I Putu Gede Juniantara and George Brown. With Putu Gede, he has a special closeness because both come from Bali and have played together since childhood. "Since we were kids, Putu and I have been close. I also learn from him because he has experience too," said Andhika.
Rather than complain, Andhika turns the internal competition into motivation. "For me personally, I will certainly work hard so I can get minutes on the pitch," he said. He realizes that playing minutes are the main capital for returning to his best form.
Bhayangkara FC themselves are starting to show signs of revival. After unsatisfactory results in their first two matches against Persebaya Surabaya and Dewa United, they secured a 2-0 win over Isenmulang. Andhika hopes that victory becomes a turning point. "In the first two matches, honestly, we faced good opponents because we met Persebaya and Dewa United. Against Isenmulang we could win 2-0 and in the fourth week we face Arema, hopefully we can win again there," he hoped.
Consistency is key for Bhayangkara FC to chase the top-three target set by management. Andhika also has a personal ambition to win the title. "For me personally as a player, who doesn't want to win the league? But we have to work first to meet the management's target of breaking into the top three at the end of the season," he said.
With the packed 2026/2027 BRI Super League schedule, an international break like this is a valuable opportunity for players to sharpen their physical and mental condition. For Andhika, the combination of training with his father and family support in Bali could be the foundation for reclaiming a starting place at Bhayangkara FC. Will he be able to prove his quality when facing Arema FC later?
