- Marvel Studios memastikan musim ketiga Daredevil: Born Again menjadi penutup serial, seiring pengurangan produksi TV di Disney+.
- Showrunner Dario Scardapane tidak diperpanjang kontraknya, meninggalkan ketidakpastian pasca-produksi.
- Kembalinya The Defenders di musim final membuka peluang spin-off, tetapi masa depan Matt Murdock di MCU masih gelap.

The series Daredevil: Born Again is confirmed to conclude with its third season, marking the end of the blind superhero's revival on Disney+'s small screen. This news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, which stated that Marvel Studios and showrunner Dario Scardapane have quietly parted ways. Scardapane's contract was not renewed, and it remains unclear who will oversee the ongoing post-production process.
This decision is the latest signal that Marvel Studios is scaling back its television series production. After releasing five titles in a single year in 2021, only two projects are currently scheduled to air in 2027: the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and the third season of Born Again. Even Wonder Man, which had been renewed for a second season, was surprisingly canceled just months after its announcement.
The journey of Born Again itself has been tumultuous. Originally planned as an 18-episode series, the project was completely overhauled during the 2023 Hollywood strikes and split into two separate seasons. The third season was then confirmed last year, but it will now serve as the conclusion. The second season ended with the defeat of Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) and the revelation of Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) identity as Daredevil, leading to the protagonist's arrest. The third season is predicted to begin with Murdock incarcerated.
Nevertheless, the end of Born Again does not necessarily spell the end for the Daredevil franchise in the MCU. Charlie Cox has appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher also featured in the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Furthermore, set photos have confirmed the return of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist), and Mike Colter (Luke Cage) โ reuniting the Defenders team. However, the extent of their roles remains a mystery.
"Marvel never truly closes the door on familiar characters," said an unnamed industry source, hinting that these heroes could appear in other projects.
For fans in Indonesia, this decision reflects a strategic shift by Marvel Studios, which is beginning to reduce its reliance on television series as the primary driver for Disney+. The Southeast Asian market, including Indonesia, is a loyal audience for superhero content, so a reduction in production could affect the number of new shows available on the platform. Nevertheless, the popularity of Daredevil and the Defenders could potentially be explored through other formats, such as films or limited series in the future.
With the entertainment landscape constantly changing, is this truly the end for Matt Murdock on screen, or merely the beginning of a new chapter for Marvel's street-level heroes? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: the golden age of Marvel TV series on Disney+ appears to be over.
