Kelly Osbourne, daughter of the late Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, revealed her final conversation with her father three days before the 76-year-old took his last breath in July 2025. In an interview on the podcast We Need To Talk, Kelly recalled how Ozzy sat with her and delivered a deeply personal message.
โYou can live the rest of your life knowing that there is one man on this planet who truly loved you,โ Kelly said, quoting her father. She cried and begged Ozzy not to talk like that. But Ozzy insisted he would not be around forever. The moment became an emotional turning point for Kelly, who was later inspired by the way her mother, Sharon, worked to organize the farewell concert Back To The Beginning at Villa Park a few weeks before Ozzy died.
Kelly said her mother worked hard so Ozzy could perform on stage one more time. โMy mum made my dad die the happiest I have ever seen him. All he wanted before he left was one last show,โ she said. The concert is regarded as one of the most historic moments in music.
Sharon Osbourne had previously also revealed her last conversation with Ozzy in an interview with Piers Morgan in December 2025. She recounted that at 4:30 a.m., Ozzy woke her and asked to be kissed and held tight. โIf only I had said I loved him more often. If only I had held him tighter,โ Sharon said full of regret.
On the other hand, Kelly admitted she struggled after her father's passing. She, who had previously gone four years without alcohol, fell back to her lowest point. โI was like an empty shell. Couldn't talk, couldn't eat, couldn't do anything. I was broken in every way a human being can be,โ she said. Kelly even started drinking again and lost control. However, she is grateful that she has now been sober for eight months and is surrounded by supportive people. She also said she narrowed her circle of friends because many did not understand her grieving process. โI will never be able to forget him. Never,โ she said.
Kelly Osbourne's story highlights the human side of celebrity life, especially in facing loss and the struggle against addiction. For the Indonesian public, this story serves as a reminder that mental health and social support play a crucial role in the recovery process. Relapse is not the end of everything, but part of a journey that requires resilience and professional help.
Looking ahead, the question remains open whether Kelly will continue to share her experience to help others going through similar things, or instead choose to be more private. What is clear is that Ozzy Osbourne's legacy is not only about music, but also about the family love he left behind.
