- Pelatih Fabio Lefundes menegaskan pentingnya sikap rendah hati jelang laga padat: I-League Cup kontra Adhyaksa Bekasi FC dan duel melawan Persib Bandung.

Java United continued its dominance at Stadion Jatidiri, Semarang, after defeating Bhayangkara FC 2-0 in the eighth week of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League on Friday (30/10/2026). The hosts' two goals came from Yakob Sayuri in the 11th minute and Lukas Brambilla in the 88th minute, securing all three points for Laskar Kepodang Emas.
The win reinforced Java United's unbeaten home record: three wins and one draw at Jatidiri. For a team that had just gone two matches without a win, the result was both a morale boost and a sign of revival after it could only draw 1-1 against Isenmulang FC and Persijap Jepara.
Coach Fabio Lefundes welcomed the achievement but did not want his players to grow complacent. In a post-match press conference, he stressed that the unbeaten home record was a source of pride, but the team must stay grounded and work hard in every match.
"The unbeaten record and the win at Jatidiri are certainly a source of pride. But the team must stay grounded and work hard as we approach every match," Lefundes said.
Lefundes also acknowledged that the win over Bhayangkara FC was not easy. The club nicknamed The Guardian, he said, put up fierce resistance, and Java United could only control the game thanks to the players' maximum performance. "The coaching staff will always push the players to keep improving and deliver their best performance in every match," he added.
For Yakob Sayuri, the opening goal against Bhayangkara FC had special meaning. The Indonesia national team winger said he was grateful for his first goal for Java United this season. He stressed he would keep delivering his best performance whenever given the chance to play. "Thank you to the coach who always gives me opportunities. I believe that God's time will come, and it happened today," said the player affectionately known as Yassa.
Yakob also praised his teammates' cohesion, which he said successfully carried out the coach's strategy. According to him, the motivation provided by Lefundes made the players perform at their maximum on the pitch. The statement reflects harmony within the squad, an important factor for a team building consistency in the domestic competition.
After this match, Java United has little time to rest. They are scheduled to face Adhyaksa Bekasi FC in the 2026/2027 I-League Cup at Stadion Jatidiri on Wednesday (4/11/2026) at 14.00 WIB. Three days later, on Sunday (8/11/2026), Laskar Kepodang Emas will again host Persib Bandung in the BRI Super League.
The packed schedule is a test of squad depth and Lefundes's rotation ability. Against Adhyaksa, a Championship participant, Java United is favored, but the duel with Persib will be the true barometer. Persib is known as an established team with a large supporter base, so the match will test not only tactics but also the players' competitive mentality.
If they can get positive results from those two matches, Java United will have a strong chance to cement its position at the top of the standings. However, Lefundes's warning for the team to stay grounded is key: the home record is only initial capital, not a guarantee. The people of Semarang now wait to see whether the consistency at Jatidiri can continue against tougher opponents.
