Java United FC has once again shaken up the BRI Super League 2026/2027 ticket market. Ahead of their home match against Bali United at Stadion Jatidiri, Semarang, on Friday (16/10/2026) at 19.00 WIB, the club's management has set the ticket price at just Rp27,000. The policy is aimed at keeping the stands full while giving the people of Central Java the widest possible access to watch the match live.
The promo can be accessed through the official website javaunited.com and the Instagram account @java.utd. Java United manager Alan Haviludin stressed that the move is a continuation of a similar scheme previously applied when hosting Garudayaksa FC and Borneo FC. "We want the public, especially in Central Java, to keep enjoying football in the stadium," he said.
Beyond the discount, Java United has allocated thousands of free tickets for children from Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and football schools (SSB) across Central Java. According to Alan, their presence is not merely about boosting the attendance figure, but about creating a euphoria that can spur the players on the pitch. "The match atmosphere is crucial to give a boost to the players who are fighting for a positive result," he added.
The ticket fire-sale strategy is not without calculation. Since the start of the season, Java United has had to accept a two-point deduction that left them stuck in the red zone. Now they are slowly recovering and sit in 13th place with two points from four matches. A win over Bali United could lift them into mid-table while maintaining positive momentum with the supporters.
"Java United's fight will continue. Let us support the squad coached by Fabio Lefundes by coming to the stadium and celebrating football together at Jatidiri."
โ Alan Haviludin, Java United Manager
From a club business perspective, cheap tickets and free tickets do sacrifice short-term revenue potential. However, the management appears to be weighing the long-term impact: supporter loyalty, community engagement, and a home atmosphere that visiting teams find hard to replicate. This approach aligns with a trend among several Liga 1 clubs that have begun cultivating grassroots fan bases, especially the younger generation and pesantren communities, as a market that has not been optimally tapped.
For Bali United, the trip to Semarang is no easy matter. Overwhelming crowd support can become pressure in itself, especially as Jatidiri is known as one of the stadiums with high noise intensity. If Java United can capitalize on this momentum, it is not impossible for them to step out of the shadow of the sanction and walk the competition path with greater confidence.
The question is whether this cheap-ticket and free-quota strategy will become a permanent model for BRI Super League clubs, or merely a one-off move to boost stadium occupancy. What is clear is that Java United's step signals that Indonesian football is taking the spectator experience aspect more seriously, not just results on the pitch.
