Logitech G has officially announced the expansion of its G Series line with a total of 15 new products at the virtual Logitech G Play 2026 event. The move marks a new chapter in competition in the high-end gaming peripherals segment, as the Swiss manufacturer seeks to strengthen its position amid growing demand from the competitive community, content creators, and casual gamers alike.
The announcement is not merely the addition of color variants or limited editions. Logitech G is including a massive firmware update to the HERO sensor technology that serves as the backbone of its flagship mice. The upgrade enables a maximum resolution of 44,000 DPI with submicron precision and independent X- and Y-axis sensitivity adjustment. For loyal users of the G502 X PLUS and G502 X LIGHTSPEED, the update can be downloaded at no extra cost through the G HUB app.
On the design side, Logitech G is expanding its form factor options. The G316 X 75 keyboard arrives as a more compact 75 percent version, while retaining an 8 kHz report rate, hot-swappable mechanical switches, and multi-layer gasket construction. The move responds to the growing minimalist desk trend, especially among users who want compact devices without sacrificing performance.
The entire G3 Series line will also be available in Lilac, a pastel option that according to G3 Series Product Marketing Manager Megan Shu is aimed at those who want hardware that blends into both gaming and living spaces. In addition, Logitech is introducing G-KEYCAPS, a collection of premium dual-shot PBT keycaps with swappable transparent dials, inspired by four themes: Forest, Cloud, Spike, and Mecha.
The expansion also touches the G502 X line, which gets two new colorsโblack-purple and white-mint green. Outside the G Series, Logitech announced the ASTRO A50 X Mars Red Edition, a headset featuring PlaySync technology to switch platforms with just a touch of the headset, backed by a 48 kHz microphone and 40mm Pro-G graphene drivers.
"The gaming landscape is evolving faster than ever. Breakthrough technology and new ways to compete are pushing the limits of what's possible in gaming," said Logitech G General Manager Robin Piispanen.
For the Indonesian market, this launch could potentially boost excitement in the premium peripherals segment, which has long been dominated by global brands. The country's growing e-sports community, plus a rising number of content creators, makes for a potential market for products like the G316 X 75 and the G502 X with its upgraded sensor. However, regional pricing and availability will be the main determinants, given that Logitech G has not yet announced official launch schedules for each product.
The question is, will the free update via G HUB become a new industry standard for peripherals, or will it become a differentiator that makes Logitech even harder for its rivals to catch? Time will tell, but this move clearly confirms that the innovation war on the gaming desk has just entered its next chapter.
