- Díaz sendiri masuk daftar 30 nominasi bersama Kane, Michael Olise, dan Dayot Upamecano, dengan pengumuman pemenang dijadwalkan di London pada 26 Oktober.

Bayern Munich forward Luis Díaz has openly backed his teammate Harry Kane to win this year's Ballon d'Or. In an exclusive interview with Bundesliga, the Colombia international called the England captain "magnificent" and "special," and stressed that Kane deserves to be at the top of the list of candidates.
Díaz himself is among the 30 nominees for the most prestigious individual award in world football. He is competing with Kane, Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano — three other Bayern players — as well as a host of stars from across leagues. The winner will be announced at an official ceremony in London on Monday, October 26.
In the interview, Díaz said he was proud to make the Ballon d'Or shortlist. He said the achievement was the result of hard work and consistency throughout the season. "This is something special, because not many people get the chance to be nominated. I will remember it for the rest of my career," he said.
When asked to describe Kane in one sentence, Díaz did not hesitate. "It's hard to find the right word. Magnificent. He has shown for years that he is one of the best players in the world. For me, he is number one to win it. I hope he gets it," he said.
Díaz also expressed his admiration for Michael Olise. He said Olise is a calm person but very sharp at reading the game. "He's quiet, but he always wants to help. In training, he often stays longer to work on his finishing. Details like that are what make him different," Díaz said.
On the role of coach Vincent Kompany, Díaz explained that the team's tactical approach is flexible. In attack, the players are given freedom to find space, but when defending, Kompany demands strict positional discipline. "He says that if we defend better, we attack better too. That's important," he said.
Heading into the new season, Díaz stressed Bayern's ambition to win every possible title. He acknowledged that last season's brilliance could quickly be forgotten if it is not followed by similar achievements. "We must always want more and not be satisfied too quickly. We will fight for every trophy," he said.
On the Bundesliga title race, Díaz named Borussia Dortmund as one of the toughest competitors. Even so, he stressed that Bayern will remain focused on their own game. "Dortmund are still Dortmund. They are a difficult opponent, but we have to be alert and calm. We target three points in every match," he concluded.
With those comments, Díaz not only showed loyalty to his teammate but also sent a signal that Bayern Munich are ready to dominate this season. The 2025 Ballon d'Or will be a stage for Kane to prove himself, and support from players like Díaz could provide a significant extra source of motivation.
