- Sani Rizki Fauzi mencatat debutnya bersama Bhayangkara FC di BRI Super League 2026/2027 setelah masuk sebagai pengganti di menit ke-85.
- Kehadiran 11 pemain asing per tim membuat peluang pemain lokal semakin sempit, sehingga setiap menit bermain menjadi prestasi tersendiri.
- Bhayangkara FC akan menghadapi Arema FC pada 10 Oktober mendatang, menjadi ujian konsistensi bagi Sani dan rekan-rekan.

After a long wait, Sani Rizki Fauzi finally experienced the atmosphere of a BRI Super League 2026/2027 match. The 28-year-old winger came on as a substitute in the 85th minute as Bhayangkara FC defeated Isenmulang FC 2-0 at PKOR Sumpah Pemuda Stadium, Bandar Lampung, on Saturday (19/9/2026).
The victory marked Bhayangkara FC's first three points of the season. The two winning goals were scored by Allano Lima in the 56th minute and Teuku Ichsan in the 90+3rd minute. For Sani, who has played for Bhayangkara since 2018, the brief appearance felt special given the fierce competition within a squad filled with many foreign players.
In recent seasons, the BRI Super League has been known as a competition with a large foreign player quotaโeach team can register up to 11 imported players. This situation forces local players to work extra hard to earn playing time. Sani expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by head coach Oscar Bruzon.
"I am very grateful to Allah for these three points. Thank you to the coach for giving me the opportunity to debut this season," Sani said, as quoted by Bola.com.
Despite only playing for about five minutes, Sani still showed his fighting spirit. He immediately made several aggressive plays on the wing, although he didn't manage to score. This brief appearance at least signals that he is still part of the team's plans.
The opportunity for local players like Sani is under scrutiny amidst the league's increasingly open policy towards foreign players. Several observers believe that loose foreign quota regulations can erode local players' playing time, but on the other hand, they raise the standard of competition. PSSI and the league operator are reportedly reviewing these rules for upcoming seasons.
For Bhayangkara FC, this victory is important momentum before facing an away match against Arema FC at Kajuruhan Stadium, Malang, on October 10. Sani hopes his team can maintain consistency, especially when playing at home.
"For every home game, hopefully, we will always focus on winning," he added.
With a packed schedule and increasingly fierce competition, the big question is whether local players like Sani can seize every opportunity, or if they will be further marginalized by the influx of imported players. Only on-field performance will provide the answer.
