MilkLife Strikers secured their ticket to the Singa Cup 2026 final after finishing top of Group A, despite a narrow 0-1 loss to Selangor FC Academy A in their last group-stage match at The Rainforest Hub, Singapore, on Monday (2/11/2026). The result was enough to send Jacksen F. Tiago's side to the final scheduled for Tuesday (3/11/2026), where they will again face Selangor FC Academy A.
The berth was confirmed after MilkLife Strikers collected six points from two matches, with a goal difference of +17. Selangor FC Academy A followed in second place with a goal difference of +9, while Lion City Sailors had to settle for third with +8. Rato Bangala of Nepal finished bottom without any points.
On the second day, MilkLife Strikers played two matches. First, they crushed Rato Bangala 13-0. However, in the second match, Jacksen F. Tiago's team fell 0-1 to Selangor FC Academy A. Even so, the defeat did not shake their position at the top of the standings.
The big win over Rato Bangala was marked by an impressive performance from Ferisa Dewi Widodo, who scored three goals in the 25th, 27th, and 37th minutes. The other goals were contributed by Locita Waranggani (7'), Keyla A. P. Natawijaya (11'), Nadia S. Azzahra (13'), Adiba S. Primayuga (17' penalty, 39'), Angelina P. S. Mongan (31'), Adelice Maureen (35'), plus one own goal by an opposing player.
MilkLife Strikers assistant coach Sasi Kirana praised the players' effort. She felt her charges performed to the maximum despite facing opponents of a different level. "The players kept showing high spirits, especially against Nepal. Every chance was used well," she said. Regarding the loss to Selangor, Sasi acknowledged there was still room for evaluation, particularly in staying calm when trailing.
"We came here to win. That is my motivation and my teammates'. Even though we lost earlier, tomorrow we will fight again," said Ferisa Dewi Widodo.
The Singa Cup is a prestigious youth football tournament regularly held in Singapore since 2011. In the 2026 edition, the tournament features 136 teams from 13 countries. MilkLife Strikers is a team sent by Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation together with MilkLife, made up of selected players from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2025/2026. They are competing in the Girls U12 category, which uses a round-robin system from 1-3 November 2026.
The final will be a real test for MilkLife Strikers. The loss to Selangor in the group stage serves as both a spur and a valuable lesson. Can Ferisa and her teammates avenge the defeat and bring the trophy home to Indonesia? The answer will be revealed on the pitch.
