The Aceh National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) is accelerating the completion of a National Strategic Project (PSN) in Blang Puuk Village, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District, Nagan Raya Regency. The target is for all road and embankment infrastructure work to be finished by December 27, 2026. As of early October, physical progress had only reached 29.3 percent, so extra measures are needed to avoid missing the contract deadline.
The project, which costs Rp87 billion from the state budget (APBN), began in February 2026. The scope of work includes backfilling a 400-meter road body, building river training embankments upstream and downstream, and bridge maintenance. Bridge maintenance covers painting the steel frame, handling expansion joints, lower bearings, and securing pillars and abutments.
The Head of Administrative Affairs for the Commitment-Making Official 2.7 Aceh, Fachrun Rizaldi, stated that work is carried out in three shifts every day. "The handling includes backfilling a 400-meter road body and river training embankments upstream and downstream of approximately 400 meters," he said while inspecting the site with the PRR Task Force. He added that bridge maintenance is carried out to ensure the structure remains safe and functions optimally.
"We started the work in February and it must be finished in December. Specifically, on December 27 all work must be completed."

To meet the target, BPJN Aceh increased the number of excavators from four to six units, dump trucks from five to eight units, and field teams from seven to nine work groups. Each group consists of seven workers divided into three shifts. Some work continues at night so that embankment construction, road handling, and bridge maintenance can proceed in parallel.
The project acceleration also involves coordination with the Nagan Raya Regency Government and the Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRR). Regional support is needed to resolve technical and non-technical issues that could hinder the work. Deputy Head of Planning, Control, Analysis, and Evaluation of Satgas PRR, Imran, emphasized the importance of the local government's role. "We ask the local government to also help accelerate this because it is a National Strategic Project and must be completed in December. This infrastructure is also needed to restore the community's economic condition," said Imran.
The project is crucial because it is located in an area that has been affected by a disaster. Road and embankment infrastructure not only serves as a link between regions but also as a river flow controller that can protect settlements and agricultural land. Delays in completion could slow local economic recovery, especially access to the distribution of goods and services.
With about three months remaining, the question is whether the acceleration can close the progress gap from 29.3 percent to 100 percent. If weather and material supply support it, the December target can be met. However, if technical obstacles arise, the government needs to prepare alternative scenarios so that the project's benefits can be felt by the people of Nagan Raya soon.
